The Tech World vs. Grandpa and Leo by Jace Moore explores generational differences as a young boy and his grandfather spend the day together and find connection and common ground. The author gently suggests that modern conveniences aren’t always better, and that the old ways still have a lot to offer.

The Enchanted Library by Everlee Williams follows a young girl on a magical adventure that’s perfect for anyone who loves reading. With a troll, special pixie dust, and a sense of wonder throughout, the author invites readers to imagine the possibilities that come with choosing a new path.

The Olive and Fred Robins Junior Short Story Contest is an annual event held each October. Wellington County students in Grades 4, 5, and 6 are invited to submit original stories for the chance to win great prizes and publication of their work.  Stories are judged anonymously by the Short Story Contest Committee.

Thank you to all the talented young writers who participated! The imagination, creativity, and care taken with each story made them a true joy to read. We can’t wait to see what you create next year.
