New Accessibility Devices Now Available!
Wellington County Library is committed to making reading accessible for everyone. In partnership with the Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA), we're excited to introduce Envoy Connect accessibility devices to our collection. These simple, portable players are designed for people with print disabilities or vision impairments.
The Envoy Connect is a lightweight, easy-to-use audiobook player that doesn’t require an internet connection to use. Each device comes pre-loaded with five DAISY-format audiobooks, providing hours of reading enjoyment right out of the box. Titles are refreshed regularly, offering new listening options over time.
These devices provide an excellent solution for readers who have difficulty accessing traditional print or digital materials. The controls are tactile and intuitive, with clear buttons for play, pause, volume, and navigation. The rechargeable battery makes the Envoy Connect easy to use anywhere; at home, on the go, or while travelling.
