Ontario Public Library Week

Ontario Public Library Week (OPLW) is an annual celebration to raise awareness of the value of libraries. Public libraries offer welcoming spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds. As well as books, we provide programmes, resources, and services that help people connect, learn new skills, and access important tools like the Internet. By supporting lifelong learning and circular economy, libraries play a vital role in improving the lives of everyone.

From Sunday, October 19 to Saturday, October 25, you can enter to win a free book. Drop by as many times as you like for a contest ballot. It's our way of saying thanks for visiting!

Lost or damaged your card? You can get a replacement card for free during OPLW.

We would love to hear from you!

Share your favourite library stories with staff, in-person, by email, snail mail, or social.
