What if you could have a big adventure without booking a hotel or buying a plane ticket? What if you didn’t even need to leave Wellington County?
This spring, plan to visit a Wellington County Library branch you’ve never been to. Whether you’re a lifelong library lover, or someone who hasn’t wandered the stacks in a while, this is your chance to rediscover the library in a whole new way.
Our 14 branches are so much more than a place to borrow books. Each has its own character reflecting the communities that we are proud to be a part of. If you’re looking for walking trails and beautiful scenery, try our Aboyne or Hillsburgh Branch. Are you interested in local history? You could visit one of our five Carnegie library branches located in Mount Forest, Harriston, Palmerston, Fergus and Elora. For the best of both worlds, check out the newest Wellington County Library branch located in Erin Village in the lovingly restored Erin Grist Mill.
While you’re in our branches, we challenge you to find something new. It could be a new programme, a fun display, or even a cozy new spot to read. Or ask one of our staff members for a personalized reading recommendation.
We’d love to hear about your adventures! Tag Wellington County Library on Facebook as you share your photos and experiences along the way. Your journey just might inspire others to join in.
